More Room for NOA: Peryton Advises Karwendel on the Acquisition of a New Production Site

23.06.26 by Konstantin Kottutz
Karwendel-Werke Huber GmbH & Co. KG, known for brands such as Exquisa, miree and NOA, is committed to growth – and Peryton Advisory was there as exclusive transaction advisor.
Since its launch in 2016, the NOA brand has become a true growth driver within the Karwendel portfolio. Its plant-based spreads and hummus products are squarely in line with today’s consumer trends, with demand rising continuously. To keep pace with this momentum, Karwendel acquired an existing production facility in Landsberg am Lech through an M&A process. The site is set to become a dedicated NOA production location, relieving the existing main site in Buchloe and securing capacity for the future.
The opportunity arose from the insolvency proceedings of the Josef Maier Group, which were managed by SGP Corporate Finance. Peryton Advisory advised Karwendel exclusively on the buy side throughout the process – from the initial strategic assessment of the acquisition opportunity through to the successful closing of the transaction. Legal advice was provided by law firm Noerr.
With this transaction, Karwendel is sending a clear signal: the company is making targeted investments in the future of its brands – and in the growing market for plant-based food.
